Canon, composed by the Baroque-era composer Johann Pachelbel,
is a form in which a certain motif repeats and develops over a set interval.

The Canon Variations are still widely known today through George Winston's arrangement.

While working on this Canon Jazz Version, I realized something.
The Canon Variations have truly endless possibilities for variation.

Part of it is because the chord progression is so commonly used,
but it's simply amazing that a melodic and harmonic form written back in the Baroque era
still resonates and works in modern times.

Since it's a piece that can be arranged in so many different ways regardless of genre,
I carefully tried to tell my own musical story through the genre of jazz.

In this snowy winter,
I sincerely hope that this piece
melts into the hearts of those who listen to it, just like snow.
